  • 1-1/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1-1/2 cups Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal, any variety


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Beat egg in small bowl; stir in milk and butter. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Stir in cereal.
  2. Spoon batter into greased or paper-lined muffin pan, filling each cup 2/3 full.
  3. Bake 20 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Tips and Suggestions

Variation: Prepare and bake muffins as directed. Mix 1 can (11 oz.) mandarin orange segments, drained; 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, well drained; and 1 large banana, sliced, in medium bowl. Split 6 baked muffins horizontally in half. Cover bottom halves with 1 tub (8 oz.) whipped topping, thawed, and fruit mixture. Top with muffin tops. Garnish with additional and toasted coconut. Makes 6 servings.
